Description

The Sepia Pencils are specially designed for drawing and contouring. Made from high-quality natural pigments, these unique, earth toned pencils allows artists to obtain smooth finish associated with conventional pastels without the mess. They can also be used for cross-hatching, detailing with round soft pastels, smudging and mixing with other colours. They are highly pigmented, with a buttery smooth feel, and have excellent blending and toning characteristics on dark or light surfaces. All colors are lightfast and fade resistant which ensures that your art work will last long.

Gioconda Sepia Pencils comes in three colours - Red, Light Brown and Dark Brown. They are available individually. The pencils are encased in California cedar wood which allows for easy sharpening.

The primary characteristic of these pencils is that they are easily wiped off the surface, which helps to spread the colorful dust all over the surface. This painting technique offers immense possibilities of changing the capacity and tone. With smudging and erasing we can readily achieve shades in the painting.

The low adhesion to the medium allows toning and the creation of simple crossing. The lightfastness and dosed concentration influence outcome as well as the durability of the artworks. After the artwork has been completed, it is recommended to apply a preparation fixative over it to prevent subsequent blurring.
